How writing a blog can help you be a better developer!!
Hey there! My name is Justin Bernard
I'm a young and inspired developer from Ottawa, Canada. I attend college at the moment in the program called "Mobile Application Design and Development". I love coding and designing apps and websites. I am well-versed in front-end and back-end applications, such as JavaScript, React, Express, NodeJS, and MongoDB. Today, I will be discussing why blogging is so beneficial for developers and designers, such as me!
Blogging is a great means of communication. It's been around since the '90s, and it serves to enhance our proficiency in both technical and non-technical skills. As a developer, this allows me to become stronger in my abilities, increase my vocabulary of programming languages and frameworks, and make me a stronger communicator and developer in the industry. Let me explain:
We not only enhance our abilities as we write, reflect and analyze what we're working on with blogging, but we find the means to collaborate with like-minded people in our virtual communities. This allows us to receive more work opportunities, paid or nonpaid, and reap the benefits. Not only will it increase our reputation and knowledge in our fields of study, but also gives us a sense of pride and accomplishment to keep working and pursuing our dreams, whatever they may be. Then, if we're truly motivated enough, we can find the means to give back to our communities that we have been so beneficial to learn from. With blogs, written tutorials, or YouTube videos, we can teach people all around the world, everyone of all ages and backgrounds, what we professionalize and adore doing - for free or with a paycheque. Anyone or anything can be taught off the internet these days, it's so incredibly accessible. It also gives those a chance to learn who can't afford a hefty student loan.
This, overall, increases the well-being of the economy of developers worldwide, the technology and advancements of science, and our everyday societies. What we give out pours back in and benefits all of us.
The beauty of blogging is that we can blog about virtually anything under the sun and still increase our proficiency in what we're writing about. You can blog about your daily pursuits, and journies, or just simply express yourself. There are so many things we can write about that do benefit us and others. Blogging is so versatile that it can be done anywhere or anytime, in the comfort of our homes or on the go, with any mobile or non-mobile device. With all these great unique perspectives and topics to learn and teach, at least one person will be grateful to you for sharing. Our blogs are platforms to express our experiences, knowledge, and everything in between.
All in all, blogging is a great means of proficiency for one, such as me (a young, 29-year-old), to develop and become wiser and better in the industry. There’s no doubt that the development industry is competitive and fierce, so arming the knowledge of consistent work experience will most likely land us more job opportunities, as well as increase our well-being and happiness. Lastly, blogging shows employers that we take initiative in our pursuits of development, which will attract more job opportunities indefinitely!
Hope you enjoyed my blog, now get back out there and start blogging fellow developer! :)
